Week 10 NFL Football Picks

Hale's Picks

Raiders vs. Chargers: The Raiders are such a hard team to predict these days. I like the Chargers in this one, mainly because they are playing at home. They seem to do this every year, bury themselves in a hole early, and then bounce back late. Well, it is late, so I expect them to start playing good football. (21-17)

Jaguars vs. Colts: The Jaguars have yet to win a game on the road this year, while the Colts have yet to win a game at all this year! I think the Jags will win in Indy, simply because the Colts are struggling horribly without Peyton. They do not look like a football team that can win at this point, so I am picking the Jags on the road. (23-10)

Saints vs. Falcons: This is an evenly matched game that is very tough to pick. The Saints have struggled this year on the road, and at times do not even look like the Saints. I think the Falcons should pull this one off at home behind the strong running of Michael Turner. This is a huge divisional game that should be a lot of fun to watch! (45-37)

Texans vs. Bucs: Now that Arian Foster is healthy, the Texans are back to playing up to their standards. They have looked good as of late, and I like them to win this game in Tampa. The Bucs just have not looked all that consistent this year, and their record shows it. I think this will be a pretty good game to watch, but the Texans should pull it out. (21-20)

Steelers vs. Bengals: Andy Dalton has been leading the Bengals through some tough games, and leaving those games with victories. The Steelers lost a tough game to the Ravens last week, and are looking to bounce back this week against another tough divisional rival. I think the Steelers will bounce back this week, sorry Dalton fanatics. (29-13)

Titans vs. Panthers: This was going to be my underdog pick for the week, but I just checked the lines and the Panthers are actually favored in this one! I think the Panthers are a much tougher team to beat than their record shows, and I expect them to prevail this week against the Titans. Matt Hasselbeck has the Titans playing better football than many expected, but I think that it is that point in the season where the good teams will start separating themselves. Unfortunately for the Titans, I do not think they are one of them. (31-22)

Cardinals vs. Eagles: Well, the Eagles lost again last week. This puts them at 3-5 on the season, and they basically need to win out to have any shot at making the playoffs. Kevin Kolb should be fired up going back to Philly, but I do not think the Cardinals win this game. I still have some faith left in Philly, but this faith is dwindling as the season progresses. (41-21)

Broncos vs. Chiefs: This is a tough one. The Chiefs can play with the best of them when they want to, but they can also be beaten by the worst of them when they leave their game at home. I still do not have much faith in Tim Tebow, but I do have to admit he has sparked the Broncos team, and lead them to a couple victories that I didn't think they would get. I think the real Chiefs team shows up this week at home, and they should get the victory over the QB-less Broncos. (23-10)

Bills vs. Cowboys: The Bills have had a really impressive early season run. I said earlier that this is the point in the season where the good teams start pulling away, while the over achieving/mediocre teams start to dwindle away. I think the Bills start their decline this week against the Cowboys. I think the Bills have been running on pure adrenaline to this point in the season, and to think that this can last for another 8 games is a stretch. I expect them to compete each week, but I do not expect them to get too many more victories over teams that they probably shouldn't beat. Boys win. (31-17)

Rams vs. Browns: ****Upset Alert**** In one of the ugliest games on the schedule this week, I think the Rams will go into Cleveland this weekend and out kick the Browns to a less than exciting 12-9 victory. Neither of these teams are worth watching outside of Cleveland and St. Louis, and fortunately for me I am in New York!

Redskins vs. Dolphins: Wow, the Dolphins are actually the favorite in this game. This just proves how bad the Redskins slide really is. Their are not many people out there who still have faith in the Skins, including myself. They lost too many players, and John Beck just isn't cutting it. I believe they had a better chance at winning games with Rex Grossman in the line-up. The Dolphins are a much better team than their record shows, and I expect them to win this week at home. (21-20)

Ravens vs. Seahawks: Easy victory for the Ravens this week. The Ravens took down the mighty Steelers last week, and shouldn't have any trouble beating the Seahawks in Seattle. (35-10)

Giants vs. 49ers: The 49ers and the Giants are playing great football. Eli Manning has looked more like Peyton, and is playing great. I think the 49ers are a well coached, disciplined team that is refusing to lose. They do not typically blow out their opponents, but they play hard against everyone. The Niners are at home, which means a long flight for the visiting G-men. For this reason, I am picking the Niners. I think these two teams are pretty evenly matched, but the 49ers are a better coached team, and they are playing in their own back yard. Niners keep rolling! (28-27)

Lions vs. Bears: ****UPSET ALERT**** This should be a great game to watch! Both of these teams have the potential to make a run in the second half of the season. The Lions are undefeated on the road this season, which is why I like them to take down the mighty Bears this week. The victory will not come easy however, as the Bears are a very tough team to beat. I expect a huge day from Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson. LIONS WIN! (31-21)

Patriots vs. Jets: As much as I would like to make this my 3rd upset pick of the week (Patriots are the underdog), I can't do it. Tom Brady cannot continuously carry the load for the Patriots each week. The defense is absolutely awful. I think the Jets are a much better all around football team. They should be able to slow down the Patriots offense, at least enough so that the Jets offense can keep up. I am not a huge believer in Mark Sanchez, simply because I do not think he has developed all that much over the last couple of years. Defense wins championships however, and the Patriots do not have one! (27-24)

Vikings vs. Packers: This probably won't be much of a game. This isn't 2009, Brett has left the building. Packers win in a blowout on MNF. (45-17)

I think the Bears are a wild card in the NFC. If Atlanta beats the Saints, the Bears blowout win over the Falcons will look even more impressive. If the Bears beat Detroit, the Bears should be taken seriously. They could be the #1 wild card seed.

Cmon Hale we all know the NFL is week to week. I always pick teams that lose the week before they always come out and play the following week. As for next week, idk bout the Raiders lol.

I wouldn't be suprised to see the Chargers skid extend 6 or seven games. Talk about your downward spiral.

Yeah, I am starting to wonder whether Philip Rivers is as legit as everyone thinks...

I disagree with your Cowboys win prediction. The Bills haven't said their last word yet I hope.
